Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
CourseCode Framework is an open source project. This policy covers this website, the
coursecode npm package and CLI,
and the CourseCode plugin for Claude Code and Codex. It also covers the MCP server when you connect it to any
other AI tool.
Summary
We don't collect personal data. There are no accounts, telemetry, analytics, or tracking cookies. The framework, CLI, and plugin run on your computer, and your course files stay there unless you choose to send them somewhere.
This website
This is a static site with no analytics and no cookies. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The framework, CLI, and plugin
None of them report usage to us. The local preview server listens only on 127.0.0.1.
They contact third parties only in these cases:
- npm registry: to install or run the
coursecodepackage. - Google's Chrome for Testing storage: to download Chrome Headless Shell, only when no Chromium-based browser is installed.
- Text-to-speech providers (ElevenLabs, Deepgram, OpenAI, Google Cloud, or Azure): narration text is sent, only when you generate narration with your own API key. That provider's privacy policy applies.
- CourseCode Cloud: course files are uploaded only when you sign in with
coursecode loginand deploy. CourseCode Cloud is optional and covered by its own privacy policy.
When you use CourseCode with an AI tool such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, your conversation and the results of CourseCode tools (course files, lint output, and screenshots, for example) go to that tool's provider under the provider's own terms. CourseCode does not send them anywhere else.
Courses you publish
Courses built with CourseCode Framework report learner progress to the LMS you deliver them through, and to any error or data reporting endpoint you configure. That data goes to you and your LMS, not to us.
Contacting us
If you email us or open a GitHub issue, we use what you send only to respond. GitHub's privacy policy applies to issues and pull requests.
